As shown in the 1st photo im choosing the "Applications" section on my Macbook M1 everything up to date. I made a folder called Adobe Apps 2025 within the Applications section to download into. No matter section or folder on my macbook i choose as my Install Location Preference, IT WILL NOT GO TO THAT FOLDER or Applications section i choose. IT KEEPS downloading into a folder i never made WITHIN the hidden" Volumes" Folder (shown in second image). I dont even have a folder named "Adobe Apps 2024" and itll just download the apps there even if selected to download in different spot. Man this is annoying.

It looks like you're trying to install on an external drive? That won't work, and even if it did, it would cause a ton of other problems. Don't even think about it.

I assume you're doing this because your system drive is full. In that case, this is the wrong way to go about it. You're only saving a couple of GB, which is a drop in the ocean and totally insignificant in the bigger picture. That's not how you save space.

You really need to clear out space on your system drive. A standard install of operating system and applications shouldn't take up much more than around 90 - 130 GB. Anything beyond that, aside from your own documents, will be in your user account. The user account will bloat over time, filling up with all kinds of stuff put there by all your installed applications. Much of it is just dead meat that can be removed.

Start with a thorough disk cleanup in your operating system. That alone can remove ten times what the Adobe installation files take up. Next, there are utilities that can show you exactly what's filling up your drive and where it is, for a more systematic cleanup.

If you haven't done this for a while, it's often possible to clean out, say, 50 - 100 GB.

I am not trying to install it on external harddrive im installing on my computers built in drive. My issue is the Adobe Applications not downloading to my seletcted Install Location on my computer. Im trying to install on my Applications tab which is built in computers hardrive. No matter which folder or tab I set my install location preference on it keeps downloading on its own into those folders on 2nd photo like stated. No matter which folder or tab i choose it automatically downloads into mac hidden Volume folder.  1st photo is what I set my install location to. 2nd photo is where the adobe applications keep downloading no matter what folder or tab (not on external harddrive keep going) Even if i delete those folders they still end up downloading there

OK, sorry, I misunderstood.

I still don't understand what's wrong with the default location? Why do you need to make up a folder? It would be easier for people to understand this if you gave us a bit of context.

The context is no matter what location i set my Install Location to within my Creavtive Cloud App, it ignores that location and installs within a hidden folder everytime. No matter which location on my computer or which folder I choose, Creative Cloud ignores the Location Destination and downloads under folders I never made. Not much more context I can give on this issue besides why does Creative Cloud keep ignoring the Install Location set in Prefrences
