My account shows my Photoshop purchase registered 20 Jun '20 and the billing for $73.29 by Visa posted on 24 Jun. But just now when I opened the program after nearly 2 years of use, I was greeted by a notice that my "free trial" had expired and Adobe wants me to buy it. How do I get Adobe to admit the error and correct my status as an owner?
If the above link does not help, you need to be aware that this is a user forum and we have no means to address account issues. You will need to phone support to get it fixed. So long as your purchase is legitimate (you were not scammed) then I am sure your issue will be resolved.

Is this actually Photoshop Elements 2020? If it's actually Photoshop, what version did you buy in 2020?

Please follow the steps on this help page for CC reverts to trial. Most often signing out and signing back in with the Adobe ID you purchased with fixes it, but there are other things on this page.
