Recently, while reviewing photos from a family trip, I came across that classic problem: someone's always missing from the perfect photo. Previously, trying to fix this manually would take hours—cropping, adjusting colors, lighting, positioning… a real challenge.
Now, with tools like Nano Banana and Harmonize in Photoshop, I've been able to solve this quickly and accurately:
2. The selection tool allows me to choose the positioning, leaving it exactly in the pose I want.
3. Cutting always requires some adjustment, and tools like pen and lasso are perfect for this.
4. I use Harmonize to match light and color between the images, ensuring an organic look.
5. Finally, I apply Generative Fill with the Nano Banana model to make fine adjustments—correcting poses, expressions, and small details to achieve a realistic result.
The end result is a complete, natural, and meaningful photo that would be nearly impossible to create manually in such a short time.
For me, AI takes over the repetitive, technical work, while manual control ensures that creativity and emotion remain intact.
What about you? How do you combine AI and manual creativity in your projects? Where do you rely on AI and where do you prefer not to have full control?

@christianot40873293 pretty good job.... kinda cool to see how Nano Banana and AI takes over... Except for the arm around the child, the arm doesn't look right nor has the same texture as the other arm... but other than that, pretty good!

Thank you!
By hand, you can always generate more versions until you find the perfect one!
And that's fantastic, having so many versions to choose from so quickly.

Good eye The AI struggled a bit with that texture, but I’m happy the rest turned out well. Always fun seeing how far the tech has come

I was looking through Low Fade Styles for fade haircut ideas, and now I’m wondering is a taper fade easier to maintain than a low fade?

Absolutely — they can, and honestly, that’s where the magic happens. AI helps speed up the brainstorming, research, or repetitive parts, while manual work adds that human touch — emotion, taste, and precision that AI can’t fully replicate. The best results often come when both work together: AI handles the heavy lifting, and you refine it with your personal creativity and judgment.

That’s pretty cool I think using Photoshop daily really helps freelancers level up their skills and get better over time.

perfect, you are still the artist and decide how it should look, but with much more efficient tools.

Absolutely — they can and honestly, they should. AI brings speed, efficiency, and endless ideas, while manual work adds the human touch: emotion, intuition, and nuance that AI can’t replicate. The best creative results usually come from blending both. Let AI handle the repetitive stuff so humans can focus on refining, shaping, and adding soul to the final piece.

That's right, art needs soul!

Totally agree — AI and humans work best together. AI handles the repetitive parts, while humans add creativity, emotion, and depth to make the final result truly stand out.

Absolutely. AI can handle the heavy lifting — the quick drafts, data, or repetitive tasks — while manual work adds the human touch, emotion, and refinement. When combined, they can actually elevate creativity instead of replacing it. It’s like speed meeting soul.

AI and manual creativity can absolutely coexist. AI accelerates repetitive or technical tasks—like harmonizing lighting or filling gaps—freeing time for the artist to focus on composition, emotion, and storytelling. Manual input refines what AI generates, ensuring precision, authenticity, and personal touch. The best results come from balance: letting AI handle the mechanical aspects while the human eye and intuition shape the artistic vision. In this collaboration, AI becomes an assistant, not a replacement—enhancing creativity rather than limiting it. Ultimately, true artistry lies in guiding technology to serve human imagination and emotional intent.

I completely agree. Technology has always been a great ally of humankind, allowing us to achieve results unimaginable in previous generations.

Great use of AI and manual work combined! Lighting can especially be tricky, so AI has the upper hand with efficiency here.
