Im not sure if this is a photoshop bug or what but in the new version of Photoshop 22.5.1 The new AI refine hair is not working and neither is the decontaminate colours option. Making the initial selection is fine but as soon as the AI powered Refine Hair is selected it breaks down messing up the initial selection and deselecting much of the hair while intoducing noise and random pixel garbage into the image. It also screws with any of the background not selected. The image Im using the subject has brigt red hair and I am wondering if this is freaking out the AI. Ive tried in on several images of the same red head and something appears gto be far wrong with the AI element in the masking dept. Im running on a MAC with Big Sur 11.5.2.

Have you tried the latest update? (23.0.1)

If you find that it's only images with this red hair, can you share the original file?

I'm using Windows 10 and refine hair is not working well on that either, and it's not just red hair. It's brown and blond hair too.
