I have designed a full poster, however now I am told I am only allowed my font as Arial. I've tried copy and pasting from docs, etc to see if the font transfers over .. but it doesnt. Is there any possible way of making the font Arial without having to start all over again?

Arial is not an Adobe font but is usually installed in the operating system on Windows, and I believe also on macOS.  Is Arial installed in your operating system and in your Library/Fonts folder?

I'll tag @jane-e who is our typeface expert and uses Macs.

Hi @amber_8798

I wrote out a long answer, but I realize I may have misunderstood.

Is Arial® by Monotype available to you in Photoshop or is is altogether missing? Here is the list of typefaces included with macOS and Arial is on the list: https://support.apple.com/en-us/108939

If it is available, you will need to select your text and apply Arial for the  Type face. It is a character setting, so the characters must be selected first.

Clarify who and why your font use is restricted. Is the customer/end user requiring to use Arial, and you can't find Arial in whichever app in which you created the poster? As davescm said, Arial comes with Mac.

Open the Font Book app, look for Arial. It might not have been activated on your system, or has been deactivated.

By the way, one cannot copy text with Arial attributes and expect the font to go with the text. The font needs to be installed on your system.
