What version of Photoshop and operating system are you using, have you tried opening the saved files from the location you have them saved in, as in File > Open

Have you tried resetting the Photoshop preferences back to the factory defaults? This can be done in Photoshop preferences under the General tab (then closing and reopening the application).

The documents that were opened at the time of the power outage may have been corrupted.
