Autoblend not working!

I am trying to use autoblend in photoshop and when I do that, either one of the layers just disappears from the picture, or nothing happens. Colors stay the same. HELP!

Perhaps there isn't much difference in color or focus areas of the two layers.

What version of PHotoshop are you using? Can you show us a screenshot of your photoshop window with the image and all of the panels visible, Layers, etc.
