Hi all,
Am currently using PS to edit my coin photos for upload. The procedure so far is:
1. Open image
2. Adjust brightness/contrast
3. Select coin using Select and mask then select subject. Hit enter if selection is OK.
4. If necessary, rotate and align image.
5. Manually crop excess around coin.
6. Export as JPG.
At present the manual cropping is the most time consuming step. Is there a way to auto-crop the selection?
Thanks
Auto cropping has come up more than once on the forum, at least once for coins.
A lot will depend on the background and lighting.
With an active selection, Image > Crop rather than crop tool.

Thanks Stephen. I do subject selection prior to rotation as the white areas can cause confusion. Subtracting mask from selection and thyen using Image edit does the trick. Ta.
