Batch Adding a File name to a JPEG image (on Mac)

I'm very new to the community and I'm drowning in information overload. Can anyone help please?

I use Macbook with Lightroom, LRC and Photoshop 2024, Nikon Studio too.

I am trying to add an file name of an image to the anywhere on the image.  For example if my filename is DSC_0029.jpg then I want to DSC_0029 on the image and have the image saved (at a different folder).

I process 1000's of images and this will really help me in organisation and also for my clients to choose images they want.

I have a feeling I must use a script, but I have no idea what that script is or how to use it.

Can anyone help please?

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

@Michael374258014bfh

eg, in photoshop add a layer to your image. and use the text tool to add text to that layer. then use file > save as to designate a path and assign a file name.
