Hi all,
First time poster, long-time reader here.
My son is between college and University at present. We want to give him temporary Photoshop access for a couple of months as he gets use of it at University under an educational license. I already have the full creative suite of apps which I pay for. What is the easiest / most cost effective way to do this would you say?

It's likely that the educational license through your son's University will be very discounted. If he can wait for the school year to start, then it might be better to get it through there.
His account may need to be associated with his school's email address, so that might be a factor if he doesn't have that yet.
When my students get set up at the beginning of the semester, some of them have trouble if they have accounts associated with another email address.
You could have him check with the school or instructor if he's taking a class that requires the Creative Cloud to see when it will be available for purchase.
If he wants to get a jump on the semester but can't purchase the software yet, he could try out Adobe Express which is available online:
