Better Tutorials [Add Reflection to Mirror]

After watching hours of videos on YouTube and practicing and not able to accomplish what I need. What I am trying to do isn't that complicated, and maybe Photoshop isn't the right program for me.

I am pretty good at learning new programs, but Photoshop is proving to be a real challenge.

For example (pic attached): I am trying to put a reflection into the mirror. I have second file that I am using for the reflection. Everything is loaded up and I have a tutorial playing on my other screen. But I cant accomplish this (I think) relatively simple task. There are other things I want to edit in this photo, but I can do that really quicky in the Windows phot editor.

I really just want to take my renderings to the next level.

In brief, you could use the Quick Selection Tool to select and remove the centre of the mirror and load another pic for the reflection and clip it to the shape.

What is giving you problems? 

Selecting the mirror area, inserting the second image, …?

Selecting the mirror. Photoshop is selecting everything outside the mirror.

I have watched a couple videos and I do exactly what they do.

I found a way to do it in another program. But thanks!!

In the future please post meaningful screenshots including all pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) and provide a meaningful description – for example: Which Tool/s were you using?
