I have CS5 on my pc. Bought it many years ago. I would like an updated version but it seems there is only a subscribtion online. Is there a later version I can get on disc?

The only viable option is updating and subscribing. Even if you found a disk, the activation servers are long gone.
Activation servers for CS5 are still live according to the below link, CS2, CS3 and CS4 servers have been retired
