in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Hey, @Gin Tay. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out. Please share the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload & attach here.
Do you notice this line when you preview the image after exporting it? Does it appear to have the black strip after you open the image back in Photoshop? Has this started to happen since a recent update of Photoshop, or the operating system.
Please share a series of screenshots how you save the file as TIF from Photoshop.
Thanks!

Hi,
1) Attached System Info
2) I shot my image in RAW. The RAW image is perfect. After opened my RAW image, I did a simple adjustment in Camera Raw (attached) > then Save in tif > the visible black line appeared.
3) If I redo the sequence again, the Save in tif is fine & no black line. Strange
There are recent update both CC & OS.
Thanks
gin

The attached files and the steps you shared didn't yield the reported results, and Camera Raw works as expected.
You're working with Camera Raw 16.5 macOS 14.4.1; try updating Camera Raw to 16.5.1 & the macOS to v14.6.1 & check if the issue exists.
Thanks!

@Sameer K Not to add on here, but I've noticed this issue for several months now. I've recently done a batch of 160 files, converting into 16-bit tif files, and 8 had black lines and had to be redone through the rawconverter. I've attached a raw file and two downsized tifs of the example shown. The dng denoised image is too big to upload, so just uploaded original cr3 file. I've occured this error or issue with various versions of PS, Camera Raw and Mac OS; all continiously updated. I hope this is helpful.
Edit: Forum won't let me upload cr3 or dng file saying:
"
- The attachment's img_8647.dng content type (image/DNG) does not match its file extension and has been removed.

I have been encounting this same issue for many months now. It is very annoying. Always from when I export a number of images via Camera Raw and export to TIFF format. It's not every image, approx. 15-20% of the the total number of images. I have tried so many things to no avail. Would be great to have some clarity from Adobe on this issue.

I am having similar issues. The image might be fine when exported to Photoshop from lightroom. I edit the image and save it - still fine, and then I open again, re-edit and save again. Then black lines exactly like the ones described above appears. This is frustrating to put it mildly, especially when it happens to already edited images. Can Adobe please look into this? I am running the latest photoshop - just upgraded two days ago from the looks of it and the issue began before that. I use lightroom to convert images to tiff - I use Bridge to view and then open them in photoshop.

the black line still intermittently appeared. I have to resave the edited image again. Never resolved. By looking at the comments to my feed, there should me more people having same issue like ME.
Can Adobe please HELP!

To all experiencing this issue, are you saving direct to your computer's local drive, or are you saving over the network or to cabled external media?

I saved my file into external hard disk. I have been doing this from few years.

I am also saving onto an external drive, and have been doing so for years, without problems. As far as I can tell, the problem also only seems to occur when I am saving back into a folder generated (within the last month) automatically by lightroom after export. When saving into folders that already exist on this drive from previously, I have not experienced the issue.

Usually when exporting to an external hard drive, in my case, ssd.

Try Saving to the internal drive and then copy it to the external drive.

Right. Easier said than done depending on workload and internal storage. Adobe also says "Adobe is not stating that there should be regular problems storing files and working with external hard disks. " Seems like Adobe is trying to have its cake and eat it to. It's almost like saying try Rawtherapee or DXO.

I would presume that other software would have the same issue. If not, you have your answer:
1) save locally and move to removable storage
2) save directly to removable storage and be prepared to double check and re-render when necessary
3) use other software if that proves to be problem free or less problematic

Thanks for the script (other post), and options noted. I appreciate the help. In Astro, there are a lot of intermediate files that you eventually delete. But, this also means I"m looking at each exposure, so the script would help ensure no misses.

I have been using photoshop / lightroom / bridge for at least 15 years. Moving between harddisks, mostly Lacie disks, working via usb, firewire etc. I have not encountered an issue like this before. Never.
So to copy files back and forth is not really a workable option over time.
