Since the most recent update (June 2020), when using Blend If on a group (using a curves layer + hue / saturation layer as a group for Burning), Photoshop crashes and instantly closes. Tried it multiple times, the Blend If effect won't preview and when I release the mouse / pen on the slider, the programme crashes.
Any ideas?

Hi, 21.2.1 lists a crash related to layer effects, effects: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/fixed-issues.html#photoshop-desktop-fixed-issues please check if it also fixes yours, and report here if it worked or not.

I can replicate that here on Windows 10 with Nvidia GTX1080 GPU. It does not have to be adjustment layers in the group. A group containing pixel layers does the same.
I have raised a bug report at the link below. You may wish to add your own comments and system details

I do get a preview and I can reproduce the bug only by dragging beyond the slider, but then – gone it is.
Another curious bug …

Hello, Photoshop 22, that has just been released today, does list a fix for "blend if" crashes, in its fixed issues list https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/fixed-issues.html#photoshop-desktop-fixed-issues
I recommend to install it while keeping the older version installed, as explained in: https://helpx.adobe.com/be_en/download-install/using/install-previous-version.html
If you are not seeing it, go to help>check for updates in your CC application.
It is better than using the legacy compositing workaround.
