Bridge- camera raw zooming

New Here ,
Oct 08, 2025 Oct 08, 2025

Hello.

I have suggestion : when in camera raw (open from bridge in macOS), you want to zoom in a precise part of a picture, it ever zoom in the middle and in the bottom third instead of where you zoom in !

So to really upgrade the workflow, it must zoom and center the view where you zoom in with the cursor.

I remember it was so a few version ago !

Last version of bridge, camera raw and macOS Sequoia 15.6.1

Thanks a lot

@Cedders1453 I'm not sure if I understand your issue, the zoom is working as expected for me with ACR version 17.3.1, if I zoom into a particular spot on an image it zooms into that area

Maybe try resetting the ACR preferences

I cannot reproduce. It consistently zooms to cursor position.

Maybe the mouse driver is buggy or interfering with the zoom.

If it's working with the mouse and not the pad, then it's an issue with the pad and not Photoshop

Does anyone, who has an MacBook, can try with the pad ?
if it's the same with other pad, it can also be that ACR cannot manage the pad correctly.
My pad zoom correctly in web browser, excel, and all other app.

And it works also fine in Illustrator.
so I think that PS didn't work fine.

ACR doesn't manage the pad. The operating system and drivers do.

ACR 12.4 and 13.1 does it perfectly !

so it's why I request that what appears to be a bug or oversight be corrected.
Many photographers who travel only use their mobile computer . So this is an important point in my opinion.

Not sure if this makes a difference, but in Camera Raw Preferences, are your settings for Zoom and Pan the same as what’s shown in the picture below, or different?

As my problem is still not resolved, I would like to ask: can anyone with a MacBook Pro try zooming using the trackpad to see if they encounter the same issue?
