Bridge not retain it's setting version 13.0.3.693 from Laptop to Desktop Windows 10

I spent 4 hours cropping photos on my Laptop in Bridge and none of the changes appear on my desktop.  When looking at the sidecar files associated with the .NEF file in Windows Explorer, it has both an .xmp and an .acr file.  I would love to get my work back.  Can you help?

Hi, how are you looking at the files when you say the changes do not appear?

If the XMP file is alongside the NEF file, when you open them in Adobe Camera Raw, it should respect the crop setting.

I saw a discussion of a user who found a typo in the XMP, maybe is there an issue to investigate.
