BUG - Photoshop 2025 Softproof / User Custom presets (contextual menu) issue

Community Expert ,

PS25 was causing this issue, updated to PS 25 26.6.0, but it persists.

It has been discussed before a while back, but I couldn't find it.

Clicking to select a previously custom setting from the "user saved" list in the bottom section of the contextual menu in Proof Setup adds a checkmark to that setting in the list

Clicking to switch to another custom setting in softproof/ custom adds another checkmark to a setting in the list

so that multiple softproof presets are apparently selected at once

As you can see in the above screenshot, as many as you like can be checked all at once.

Disconcerting bug that!

It seems that only the last selected option is actually active (perhaps that's obvious),

I can check this by clicking in the 'custom' command reveals the active sofproof options

Switching "custom proof condition" presets in that custom dialogue (i.e. not from the 'contextual' menu list)  leaves only one checked in the 'contextual' menu list.

I can even add one of the standard presets to the list of checked options

Its a bug - it's been around a while

Sadly, the A.I. supplied topic options below this post don't include the BUG button - even tho BUG is in my text!

I hope this helps

Hey, Neil. Thanks for the detailed write-up. I've shared this with the team.

There was another issue where checkmarks behave as you've reported in the Window Menu for Open files that I've shared before, could also be linked to this: https://adobe.ly/3RGM3ra;

Thanks!
