Bug Photoshop 24.5 (Windows 10 Pro, GPU 2080Ti, Cpu Threadripper 16 Core, 64GB Memory)

Keeps saying "Could Not Complete Your Request Because of a Program Error”

Photoshop:

-Wont open past projects, or accept drag and drop of new photo to workspace, or open a new project, or wont close down (Requiring Task Manager Shutdown)

-The "working dial" just spins and then nothing happens, or when trying to close it down it says "Could Not Complete Your Request Because of a Program Error”

Only solution to make it work was:

1) Untick "Use Graphics Processor" in preferences, but slows things down considerably without GPU acceleration.

2) Delete "Photoshop 2023 Settings File" then reopening of Photoshop works, but as soon as a new project is started and I close down, the above problem happens again requiring a deleting of the "Photoshop Settings File" to get it to work again.

Had to roll back to Photoshop ver 24.4.1 and everything works as normal.

Note: I was using some large image files that are 58 MB, with image sizes of 12,2888 x12,2888 in pixel size, if this makes a difference (Also noted Photshop performance with image files of this size is very slugginsh even with Three 2080 ti GPU's, a 16 Core CPU, 64GB Memory, and Windows 10 Pro)

Thanks!

Had to untick " Use Graphics Processor" to get Photoshop 24.5 to respond

Had to Delete "Photoshop 2023 Setting File" to get 24.5 to allow new projects or old ones to work, or allow Photoshop to close down.

Hi @TheTerminator Go to Photoshop Preferences/Technology Preview and check “Disable Native Canvas”. Then check “Use Older GPU Mode (2016)”. Quit and relaunch PS.

Then go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.
