Latest Camera Raw Crashes PC only when I try to use the masking tool.  Specificlly when it starts to procces what is in the image for a couple seconds and the little arros start to spin.  Then without even an error report, Complete BSOD.  Complete crash.  Otherwise, the rest of Cam Raw works as it's supposed to.

THINGS I HAVE TRIED:

Updated NVIDIA Driver

Udated Windows 11

Uninstalled and reinstalled PSD latest version and older versions

Turing off GPU processing on both PSD and Cam Raw settings

Nothing works unless I go all the way back to Camera Raw 14.5

Setup:  AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core Processor, 3080 ti NVIDA GPU, 64gb ram, Windows 11 Pro 24H2

Hey, @Texel Tweaker. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll help you figure this out. Please share the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

Generally, BSOD indicates a system failure that various reasons can trigger. Do you have any overclocking or underclock tuning applied to your machine's CPU, GPU, or RAM through the BIOS?

When the system reboots, you can check the Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Application Logs tab & check for any recent Error or Failure events.

Also, does the problem exist if you use Photoshop (beta) v25.9?

Thanks!

Wow, I posted that call for help 18 days ago, since then there has been an update and it seems to have stopped.  Thanks for getting back to me.  But just an FYI there was no over clocking or under volting, have no idea how  to do that anyways.  It was a standard install from Adobe.
