Use ExtendScript Debugger in VS Code. It has bumber of bugs, but overall it works quite well. I see no reason to use an ESTK that hasn't been updated for a long time.

P.S. with later versions of Photoshop ESTK works fine.

i can't find target application in vscode's extendscript debugger too.

I know they all get the boot path from the registry, so I want to know where in the registry

That's true. My tip wasn't about 32/64 version, but the later post about pcd.db.

In one of those posts is said you can edit the said file and save changes to. Do it?

The reason is that my anti-virus software blocked the registry operation during the installation process, resulting in the incomplete installation of PS, now I understand. just trust Adobe whatever
