Can't import OBJ file from Maya into Windows Photoshop

I want to bring a Maya obj file (or any of the Maya exports) into Photoshop and After Effects. It will do it on a Mac computer, but not on Windows and unfortunately, my school computer lab is windows. I have tried almost all the export options. The latest was Export All>OBJexport  which works on Mac but not Windows. Thank  you!

I don't have any problem importing an OBJ file into Mac and Photoshop. That image is from version 25.0. Windows Photoshop gives me a "can't open this file".  I ultimately want to add my OBJ file to a 3D (2.5d) room in After Effects. But I need to open the OBJ file in something else, then save it as a png.  I am an instructor in a Windows lab.

What version Windows are you running? Newer releases have removed the 3D controls altogether.
