Can't save photoshop files

I have got a new macbook pro today and installed photoshop and lightroom. I am trying to edit photos from lightroom in photoshop (it used to let me do this on my old PC, save and then it would update the file in Lightroom) but I keep getting the error message "could not save as Img____ because write access was not granted".

I've read lots of forums with people saying they have the same problem but can't find a solution which works!

I have tried allowing full disk access to photoshop and lightroom in my security settings but it's still not working.

In System Preferences, >Security & Privacy, >Full Disk Access, do you see Photoshop listed? If not, do add it and try again.

I use Microsoft NTFS for Mac by Paragon Software to read/write to NTFS (Windows) formatted drives.  You can also find a handful of NTFS read/write apps in the macOS App Store.
