Hi (Mac Monterey /drawing tablet / PS 2022)

I so new to Photoshop.  Last night I create new file for practice drawing.  After I draw full page, I chose Eraser to erase all my drawing then I chose Pen tool to practice again, but I couldn't draw

what went wrong? How can I repeat the step above and so I can practice drawing  again?

Is there a better way to do this?

from what I understand I create a file then draw bunch of stuff and erase my drawing and start again.

 Thank you so much ☺️🙏☺️

What tablet are you using? Did you run all updates to the tablet drivers?

The eraser tool will erase pixel data, like a brush stroke.

The pen tool is a vector based tool for creating paths which the eraser cannot effect directly.

It may be helpful to view some of the basic tutorials about the software before jumping in cold:

Hello, please post a screen capture, as I couldn't draw is not a very clear explanation: not point laid on the image? shouldn't you use the brush tool instead, as Kevin alluded?
