Untitled-1.jpg

After already losing hours of work because of this issue (I did all the steps in the "how to fix" button there, nothing worked), I think I finally narrowed it down to the shape tool. It's the main thing I use alongside the text tool, Layers and layer effects.

How I figured this out was I opened my normal file "skeleton", as I call it (the file I use as the base file to create everything), and drew a basic rectangle with the marquee tool and filled it with color. I saved the .PSD and reopened it with no issues. I then drew a basic rectangle with the SHAPE tool, saved the PSD, and it wouldn't open (got that error message again). I messed around with a bunch of different tools trying to see if it was going to give me the error with anything else, but I haven't found anything yet.

I'm glad I narrowed it down, but it sucks because I use the shape tool a lot (I use photoshop for my business). So it's very frustrating.

Are there any workarounds or fixes for this?

I'm running Windows 10 64-bit, I've updated my graphics card (I have NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650), I have almost 1TB of disk space (Which my scratch disks are set to), 16GB RAM...

Let me know if you need any more info!

Thanks for any help!
