Cannot open Photoshop files!?

New files created after the last Photoshop update doesn't open! It only brings up a new canvas option!! Older psd files opens fine! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!

What have you tried so far?

Have you reset Preferences after backing them up?

We need a little more information:

• What format are you saving the new files in?
• Where are you saving them?
• How are you trying to open them?
  Recents? File > Open? Finder/File Explorer?
• What happens when you try to open them?
  If you get an error message, please post a screenshot
• What version of Photoshop (not latest)
• What version of OS?
