Hello, I recently switched to photoshop for various reasons. I recently wanted to change the opacity on this logo based on how white/dark a color is, but couldn't find any way to do it. Any help?

(By the way sorry for the poor image quality, this was the biggest quality I could find.)

Image --> Calculations --> Luminance/ Grey, then assign the resulting new channel as a layer mask. In fact in your case since the image is already greyscale you could just copy&paste it into a layer mask as well.
