CHANGING FONT COLOR TO BLACK TURNS IT TO GREEN

When I select BLACK in a font for a type treatment, my PS turns it green.  Every time.  I can't get to black unless I got to "Web Colors'.  Then I can dupe it into black.

Any ideas?

Your colour picker is set to choose colours using Lab mode . Check H instead for HSB
