Checking proof colors when softproofing applies preview to all images on the screen.

Windows 10. Checking proof colors (view menu) should show preview on the edit image and not on the master image. In Photoshop version 23.0.0 and now 23.0.1 all images on the screen show the preview changes so I can't match the image to be printed to the master image.  This did not happen on the previous version. This is a new install on a new pc, but the problem did not show up until I updated to version 2.3. I'm going to reinstall PS and see if that fixes the problem.

Found the solution in another post: unchecked "use graphics processor" in performance preferences.
