Clone Stamp Tool Not Erasing When Source Has Transparent Pixels

I'm having an issue with Clone Stamp tool that I've never had before. Running on Photoshop 23.4.1:

When using Clone Stamp Tool, when the source has transparent pixels, when  I try to stamp on an area that has opaque pixels, the pixels aren't getting erased (converted to transparent).

I tried resetting the clone stamp tool, but that didn't solve the issue.

Double checked that Image Mode is RGB 8 Bit/Channel.

Any ideas on how to solve this would be appreciated.

All of my versions do not clone transparency.  Seems it may have been a bug before your new install.

Hey Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your Clone Stamp tool.

Have you tried going Layer> Layer Mask> From Transparency?

That should put the Transparent elements in a mask and allow you to clone the transparent areas.

Let me know how you get on and if this answer is correct!
