The clone stamp tool of ver. 23.5 occassionally does not reproduce the content with correct luminosity, either darker or lighter. If you repeatedly stamp the same source content on the same spot of the canvas, it will become darker and darker. When I uninstall ver. 23.5 and reinstall ver. 23.4.1, this problem is gone.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
