Color Exhibit in Channels

I am doing a tutorial. In my file channel shows it's color but in tutorial it shows different greay color. What is the reason for that?

In Photoshop under Edit>Preferences>Interface there is an option Show Channels in Color, so unchecking that will

show the individual channels in greyscale like in your second screenshot.

Take another look at each individual channel. The blue channel has much better contrast in this case. It's almost a finished mask already and only requires minimal refinement.

In this work only Blue channel is choosen [time 0.19] to remove the backgound of tree. What is reason for that?
