So I will go into as much detail as I can about my issue.
I use a Canon 5Dmkii set to colour profile sRBG.
My Photoshop working space is set to sRGB 2.1.
I have a colour calibrated laptop with a Spyder 5 express.
When I upload my images from my CF card to my laptop and then upload them to Photoshop it says the profile is missing. How is this when they both are set to sRBG?
I do a killer edit then go to export but when convert to sRBG is selected it drains the colour but when I tick embedded colour profile is becomes more red? What is going on and why?
Export to jpeg. Preserve details

Export strips the profile by default. You have to check the box to embed it.
Why your camera also strips the profile I don't know (I assume these are jpegs).
Have you changed anything in Photoshop's Color Settings? Anything at all? If so, change it back. This will work as it should by default settings (except Export, which needs a little nudge by checking the box).

Thanks but I always shoot in RAW and upload them as RAW. The only think I have changed is set the reports to show so when the profile.is missing it gives a notification. Why would the embedded make the image more red than I edited it? It looks great and my computer but when uploaded to other websites it looks darker on other devices. Seems no matter how things are edited they always show different.

Hello,
the absolutely fundamental point to understand is: everything worked perfectly until two days ago then the colors became wrong? ... or did the colors become wrong after you calibrated the monitor, for example?
- if it's the second case you have to think back to what was the last change you made, if instead it is the first case there was a problem with an update or something crashed.

I have noticed a few changes in PS that i have corrected but other than that it was perfect after my first calibration and i couldnt believe the colours i was seeing compared to what i should of been seeing. is it worth doing a full reinstall of PS?

I have just noticed in my settings that after the calibration of my monitor the grey in the colour settings bar was set to gamma 2.2. i didnt change this at all. would this be an issue? i have put it back to dot grain 20%.
Im not sure why Photoshop will not recognize that my camera is shooting in sRGB it just says adobe 1998.
I am trying to do the screenshot and this is the best i can do as im not sure what your on about to be fair, my apologies.
i really appreciate all your help, all i want is consistency between camera and photoshop and websites.
(Below) The one on the right is the edited image. the left is clicked to embedd coulour and shows more red.
(Below) right is the edited image and left is ticked embedd and convert to sRGB
(Below) right is the edited image and left is ticked convert to sRGB as you can see it drains the colour.

I know your problem well, now that I see the screenshots, I had the same problem ... It is the setting screen > color profile
- give the default monitor color profile to the screen and you see that the problem disappears.
Then? something wrong with the monitor calibration procedure.

I wanted to see what the Document Profile is of the layered image and the jpg, so no, that screenshot is not that useful.

Changing this to monitor RGB made them the same and matched them. Im sorry c.pfaffenbichler i wasnt sure what you meant, the display profile was showing rgb8 or something like that

Sorry, I had missed the previous three screenshots.
Those show that the image is untagged so the question is what is your RGB Working Space (see Edit > Color Settings)?

The profile you choose in the camera only applies to jpgs.
Raw files don't have a color profile, but when you open a raw file from Camera Raw to Photoshop, it gets assigned a color profile, you choose which profile to use in the workflow settings in Camera Raw. (click the underlined text at the bottom of the Camera Raw window)
There is no way that a file that comes from Camera Raw can be untagged, it has to have a profile.
So I think you need to explain your workflow in detail – what you do with the raw files after you have copied them to your computer.

Yeah i understand what you mean, to be totally honest with you i never noticed the bar at the bottom of camera raw.
When i upload them to my computer i just right click and open in photoshop i then do the minor adjustments in camera raw and click open image, i have taken a screen shot that it uploads to PS in Adobe RGB 1998, would this be best changed to sRGB 2.1?

Ok so another issue that has come up is when changing it to monitor rgb it looks good but then change it to internet standard sRGB it looks alot more vibrant.
Im at a total loss now

Exactly, take a test and change the profile with the dafault and see if the problem disappears as I think.

OMG. Away for two hours and I come back to a total mess...
Per is right. There is no way a file comes from ACR without a profile. And that's the profile that will be used in PS.
Brett, stop everything you're doing. Do one thing only: In the Export dialog, which I see you have open in all screenshots, check the box to embed the color profile. You have to do this for Export to show the correct, color managed version. And export it as such.
How does it look now?
You must have Convert to sRGB and Embed Color Profile checked. Both of them.

Im sorry @D Fosse lol.
Yes it does look the same if a little red but that may just be my eyes after hours of trying to sort it. anyway here is a screenshot, i have become quite a custom to these now .

OK, this looks basically right. This is how the Export dialog needs to be set up.
I really, really have an issue with whoever at Adobe decided these two checkboxes should be off by default. We've had color managed web browsers for ten years now. There's no reason or justification for not embedding the profile. Either the profile is used, or it makes no difference whether it's there or not.
Anyway. When you now export, and reopen in Photoshop, does everything still look OK? And what about ACR itself? That too?

Everything looks top notch @D Fosse.
Also when i upload to a platform like the dreaded Facebook my images look slighly different, maybe darker and not as sharp. any tips for this? PNG maybe?
Thank you to everyone on the thread who put their input forward it very much appreciated.

Well, this is the difference between color managed and not color managed. That's normal. You can use a color managed web browser, but some sites still strip the profile. As I said, the profile is either used, or ignored.
In a proper color management chain, the document profile and your monitor profile are both used to recalculate the numbers, to compensate for the imperfections and idiosyncrasies of your display. These corrected numbers are sent to screen. Without color management, the original numbers go straight through uncorrected. There's a difference.
Converting the file to sRGB brings it pretty close to the native behavior of a standard monitor, so that it displays roughly right. But not quite.

Your last screenshot shows the file name of the original, and it's a jpg with sRGB embedded.
The first three screenshots you posted show that the original is untagged.
As far as I know, the only way to remove a profile from an image (apart from when exporting) is to go to Edit > Assign profile, and choose Don't color manage this document. Is that what you have been doing?
Or have you been exporting without embedding the profile, and then opening the exported image in Photoshop, and exported again?
