Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible? 

Are the elements situated on individual, separate Layers? 

How many elements are there in one image?

like if you have various different size elements on different layers and want to export to that length width on all 4 sides instead of having massive margin or even padding, is there anyway for it to be exported at max edge to edge?

Now that you have clearly described what you are looking for, there are multiple ways to do so... Here are 3 options:

Option 2: File > Export > Layers to Files  using a format such as PNG and checking the tickbox to trim layers

 

Option 3: Generate Image Assets (Adobe Generator):
