confusion about PS only pricing plans

Hello.

A relative just offered to pay for a year's PS for me (I'm disabled and haven't been able to afford it for a while now) so I want to get the best deal for them. From what I can tell, the pay monthy commit to a year is actually cheaper than the pay a year upfront deal because of the 50% off for 3 months. It also seems like you get zero money off for paying a year in advance (12*21.98 = 263.76 and the price is 262.51, less than a pound discount)

Can anyone explain any of this to me, because it all looks so insanely priced I think I must be missing something?

Just to add, this isn't a compalaint about pricing or moaning about this and that. All I care about is that I have understood the prices correctly and I get the best deal for someone who very kindly decided to help me out 🙂

Thanks, but why do none of those prices seem to tally up with the 9.98 for 3 months and 21.98 after that I am seeing? Also the offer is 50% off, but 9.98 is not 50% of 21.98.

Honestly, why is it all so confusing?

Damn, it seems as I have had a sub previously I am ineligible anyway. I really think Adobe need to make their plans less inpenetrable, it shouldn't be this much work to inderstand the cost of the sub
