In latest MacOS update, contol-option keys are now used to zoom screen if any of the zoom options are enabled.  This results in control-options keys not working to resize burshes.  How can I change the shortcut keys to reszie burshes to something else?

I FOUND THE PROBLEM!  Go to System-Settings->Accessibility->Zoom and choose “Advanced”.  Scroll to the bottom of the very long window… you will see the following.

The arrow indicates the setting that was set ON when I installed the latest Sequoia update.  I switched this OFF and all is working as before.

I'm running 15.2, bertramm. I've always used ⌘ +/- to zoom in and out.

Ps>View>Zoom In | ⌘ +

Ps>View>Zoom Out | ⌘ -

How does one go about using the control/option keys to zoom?

Is there a preference in Settings?

Tip: search Character Viewer for "place of interest." Who woulda guessed.

Are you running macOS Sequoia 15.2?

The Keyboard Shortcuts for zooming are not listed in Apple>System Settings>Accessibility>Zoom

as

  • Zoom in: Press Option-Command-Equal Sign (=).

  • Zoom out: Press Option-Command-Minus Sign (-).

For zooming the screen i use Scroll gesture with modifier key to zoom.

In other words press the Control key plus use the two fingers on the trackpad the scroll in or out.

Yes, I am running Sequoia 15.2.  And my system worked the way you describe about until just recently.  Now, if I enable any of the Zoom features the control-zoom key combinations becomes a "jump zoom".  If I press control-option the screen jump-zooms in.  When I release it the screen jump-zooms out.  I don't want it to do this because it also disables this key combination from working  in any app (except for the jump zoom).  Because I have poor eyesight, I have enabled "Use scroll gesture with modifier keys" for as long as it has been available and then used the control key with my mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out.  Until recently this didn't cause the control-option key combination to jump zoom.  This started around the time I did the last Sequoia update.

Sorry... anywhere you see "contorl-zoom" in my above reply, I meant "control-option"

Everything worked as you would expect until a few days ago... then control-option key combination started zooming without me doing anything intensionally.

And remember, all this goes away if I don't have any zoom options switched on in SystemSettings-Accessibility-Zoom
