Copy guides across multiple ARTBOARDS, not documents

Engaged ,
Jun 18, 2021 Jun 18, 2021

I have guides on blank artboard, one amoung 14. I want these exact guides for each artboard. Unlike Illustrator, I'm having issues figuring out how exactly to copy the set of guides and paste them across the other artboards.

The link is a workaround.

Would be cool to have a single command which copies all guides from one file to another.

There’s always Scripting.

(Technically »always« may be too strong a term but for stuff like this it should be an option. )

There is always scripting.

Was hoping for this to be added as a feature.

This topic was created as a discussion, not as an idea:

Which "Conversation Type" should I choose before writing a post?

How do I write a feature request?

Rather than venting here, you should be raising an idea/feature request. That's how things work here.

No venting here my friend 😊

Just for info, suggestions like 'scripting' isn't helpful.

Of course scripting is helpful. Volunteers here create them for others all the time.

End users can't add or change the programming, automation via actions or scripting is the only answer if you don't want to do things manually.

There is no guarantee that Adobe will add such a feature, but without adding an idea topic for voting it may never be realised.

@Steve28455043neq3 , please mind your manners.

You essentially called someone »rubbish«, so don’t pretend that your behaviour was appropriate.

If you don’t want to pursue a Scripting-solution for your problem then you can look around for existing plugins and/or post a Feature Request (or add your vote if you find one that reflects your wishes sufficiently).

Scripting is helpful.
Is mentioning scripting as a solution helpful? Questionable.

"Don't shoot the messenger" "Venting"...I didn't start any inappropriate comments my friend.

»Don’t shoot the messenger.« does not seem to be a problematic turn of phrase.

Your posts »Jeez! Settle down bud.« and »Pretty rubbish messenger.« on the other do.

Seems the issue of copying guides to other files (the original post referred to artboards) has come up previously:
