Created my own LUT but when trying to export it, photoshop wouldn't due to the subject title statement. This confuses me becuase I do have adjustment layers.

What version of photoshop and operating system are you using?
Can you provide a screenshot(s) of the Layers panel and image?

It doesn't work if your document uses artboards.
Seems like tons of things break when you use artboards. If something's behaving oddly, try it in a new document without artboards.
