I am trying to open the .psd file that used to work before.

I am using Photoshop 2021

This is a view of the file extension of the original file jpg and then has since converted to psd and worked.

The file with 13875K is the working file that was working but now is not.

I have tried on a different computer with the same version and the same results.

These files are on a shared network but I did move the files to my local same results

I have also changed the extension to the original extension same results

Any advice on how to recover this or prevent future situations as I have three other files that are coming up with this issue. Thank you

Can you post one of the files for us to examine? It sounds like the files may be corrupt due to a hardware failure.

Hi

This may or may not be the issue, but try these:

  • remove the period after "13"
  • confirm the filename (including path) does not exceed the maximum length
