Hi,

I am trying to use PS brushes and getting this error 'could not use the brush because the result will be too big'. Been using the same brushes for weeks without an issue. These are mainly Kyle's brushes for CC which are available to down;oad by Adobe. Anyone else had this issue ?

What size is your brush (options bar for Brush tool)?

What size is your canvas in pixels (Image menu > Image Size)?

Brush size is near 80% of max around 4800px. Canvas is 12000 x 9000. I have been using these for a while but never saw this issue before so wondering if its come in as part of an update

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Brush Settings, Options Bar, …) visible?

That's quite a canvas!  We actually use a 5000 pixel brush (set to 1% spacing) to test and compare our systems  — by timing a corner to corner stroke across a 30K X 30K pixel canvas, and even with a decent system, that can take quite a few seconds.

What preset are you using?  We can see it is one of Kyle's, can you be specific?

What is spacing set to, and what other settings?

How long has this session been going?  i.e what happens if you save the document, and restart Photoshop?

Or you could just try Edit > Purge.

How big are the Photoshop Temp files on your scratch drive?

How much free space on your scratch drive?
