I am running a job of over 6,000 files through menu item : Scripts > Image Processing procedures that (1) read all files in raw format in a folder, (2) run certain steps stored in Action on each file and (3) convert them into PSD format. It runs smoothly and successfully. But, Photoshop force closed after finishing around 1,000 files. I have to reconcile the completion list and the unprocessed ones. Then, I re-run the remaining files. However, Photoshop force closed randomly. Is there a way to look into what issues caused the crashes? Is there a way to prevent them? I left the job running while I went out to work. I did not want to see abended job after returning home. Thanks,

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

You computer could be running out of memory and scratch disk space. Please post your system report (Help->System Info)

Your computer is plenty powerful, no problems there. I would clean out the Topaz install (duplicates) and probably remove the Logitech plugins on general principle.
I still wouldn't be surprised if you are running out of scratch disk after doing that long a batch. Over 1TB should be plenty but Photoshop doesn't release memory the way most apps do.

I have now almost finished the whole batch of 6000 files, and there were 4 to 5 Crashes To Desktop. Anyway, thanks for reviewing the system info and give comments.

Some people have had success with large quantities of images in Batch or Scripts, however, this is likely dependent on image size among other things.
You may need to break up the processing into folders of say 1K images.
