My laptop crashed and had to have extensive work to get it running again. The ssd had to be wiped clean with a completely new windows 10 instillation. AFter finally getting CS 6 reinstalled I started getting a message it was installed on more than 2 machines. I have taken it off my old backup computer which leaves it on 1 machine. I am still getting the message that it is on to many machines and will quit working after 30 days. What do I do to stop it from being turned off?

CS6 does check online to ascertain it is 'Activated', but resetting the Activation count can only now be done by contacting Adobe by a Chat.

No you didn't. They are not "in" Photoshop. They are still sitting there on disk, accessible to any Photoshop version you may install.
If you didn't back up the images you can't blame anyone but yourself.

If you have stored your pictures on the disk that had to reformatted/wiped out you must restored the pictures from a backup.
That isn't a problem with Photoshop.
