I'm experiencing a frustrating bug while I'm drawing on a Cintiq Pro 24 while using Phtotshop 22.4.2 on a Mac Pro laptop running Sonoma 14.4. The brush cursor will sometimes turn into an arrow (the regular Mac cursor) while I'm drawing. None of the solutions from other threads have helped. For example this one: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/photoshop-brush-turns-into-a-mouse-cu...
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I seem to have solved the problem by digging a little deeper and finding a different solution here https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/brush-tool-turns-into-pointer-cursor-...
The solution: Go to Preferences > Tools... and uncheck "Enable Flick Panning" off.

I'm late to the party.
Certain people managed to fix this by unchecking "Enable Generator" in Edit > Preference > Plugins OR by disabling "Flick Panning" in Edit > Preference > Tools. If that didn't do it, for those who have this issue by default, it's most likely your PC being too slow for Photoshop's poor optimization. Reverting to older versions is likely to fix your problem.
For those who have this issue upon creating a layer mask, click on the burger menu in the layer panel, go to Panel Option, Thumbnail Content and select Entire Document.

Thanks for the response! Unfortunately I still haven't found a solution that works (including your suggestions) and the problem has gotten worse now that I've updated to Photoshop 2024. Im using a 2021 MacBook Pro and a Cintiq Pro 24.
