- Photoshop version: 26.0.0
- OS: Max OS Sequoia 15,0
Steps to reproduce:
- Fill 50% Grey
- Add curves
- "Sample in image to set gray point"
Expected result: Neutral. R:128 G:128 B:128
Actual result: R: 147 G: 123 B: 114
Attached you find 2 images. One picture is from the Intel Mac, de RGB values behaviour with Sample in "image to set gray point" tool are not right. I don't see anything wrong here?
The color sampler tool is just to read values at specific points in the image. It's not supposed to change any values - for that you need to use one of the three eyedroppers (for black point, middle gray and white point).

Thats exactly what im saying. Use the curves tool "Sample in image to set gray point" to set the values. It produces wrong values on the intel mac.

The color sampler here is only used to sample the grey to illustrate what is wrong. The tool used is the Sample in image to set grey point tool in the curves panel.

Issue:
- Photoshop version: 26.0.0
- OS: Max OS Sequoia 15,0
Steps to reproduce:
- Neutral Grau Füllen
- Gradationskurve anlegen
Vielen Dank.

I can't reproduce it. The tonal values of the image are preserved, so you won't necessarily get 128 - but you should get neutral gray R=G=B on the clicked point. I get that here.
This isn't something I normally use, so I may be missing something.

Have you checked that the Target Colors for the Gray Point eyedropper are set to R 128 G 128 B 128?
To do that with the Curves Adjustment layer click on the flyout menu then click Auto Options and click one of the choices other than Enhance Brightness and Contrast in order be able to click on the Midtones color chip
