Damaged file

• My pc crashed a couple times due to power outage while working on a document. Now when I open the psd this pop up appears and when I click ok there is just a black layer and nothing else. What can I do to bring my layers back or at least some of it ?

Looks like a file corruption you may need to go back to an earlier saved backup version (if you have done so).

If you have Windows system restore enabled you can right click on the file, select properties and then previous versions.

If that doesn't work you could try https://www.psd.repair

Do you not keep backups of your important files for situations like this.

As part of your workflow, you should be aware that sometimes – for various reasons – you have document corruption and loss of files. So, every so often you should save and incrementally name your documents (and save copies externally) so that you can retrieve copies if you need to.
