Defalut file type in SAVE AS

Is there a way to set the default file type in SAVE AS, depending on color depth of the image?

If not:

In Photoshop 2021, if I SAVE AS a file coming from Camera Raw (in my case a 16 bit .NEF) it prompts for .PSD format while I'd like a .TIF.

After doing this I convert to 8 bit depth and SAVE AS again: now it prompts for a .TIF file while I need a .JPG.

Hence, it would be great if we could set the type of default file in SAVE AS depending on color depth, without having to scroll to the right format every time.

Actaully, the best of all, would be that Photoshop learns this preference by itself, since I do this hundreds of times always in the same way.

Hello, I'm wondering if an action could not be the solution?
