Dialogue Boxes always too narrow

I spend so much of my day dragging these boxes to be wider so I can see the names of my folders, it's really getting on my nerves, it's the same across Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and XD, (all latest versions, on Big Sur 11.2.3) is there a fix for this planned, or anyway I can sort it myself?

I think you might be mistaking this issue for an Adobe issue – that seems to be Mac’s column display.

You could change to list display.

No it's not as the same action in Finder has the columns all spaced as I left them, it omnly happens in Adobe products.

I cannot verify your claim, the column view in a Save As dialog seems to behave identically in non-Adobe applications.

Try saving files from TextEdit for example.

Does column view in the save dialog behave differently than in Photoshop?

I agree with @c.pfaffenbichler. I see the column auto-shrink issue everywhere.

OK sorry, you're right  I deleted the Side bar and view collum PLists and it fixed it from the finder preferences and it fixed it.

How is changing to list display the correct answer?  I want to use column display so I can see multiple directories. The problem is the columns are too narrow and need to be expanded every time. This is only an issue in the latest Mac OS (Big Sur).
