Double-click to reset sliders

Is there a way to disable double click to reset sliders on Photoshop? I've been trying to use the newer versions but I'm not used to this featured and honestly don't like it very much for my workflow. The 22.0 version I was using didn't have this and I don't know if it's something that I can switch on/off in the newer versions, I did look for this option but didn't find it. Thanks.

OK, I can see how that would work when using a tablet and stylus.  I tend to swap between mouse and Wacom pen, always use the mouse in application panels.  Actually I have no choice because I have my tablet set to cover just me main screen, and the rest of the workspace is on two peripheral screens so the pen won't reach them.

I don't think thhere is any way to do that, but is there a particular reason you are finding yourself double clicking?  It's actually a really useful feature if you give it a chance.

Hi Trevor, thanks for your reply! Yeah, I noticed that there were some people even requesting that feature, but I believe It's just an habit for me. With the pen I usually don't drag the sliders, but rather click on the area I want. I generally make adjustments by looking through the preview by clicking along the bar, and not dragging the slider. I understand that it really must be a very useful function, especially for those who already used other Adobe products that already had it, but for me it ends up being just counter-intuitive, because every time I click too close to the slider for a small variation it ends up resetting.

I'm usually clicking around this area instead of the sliders:

But yeah, I believe I will need to get used to it in the end.

Oh I see, well, yeah, I believe I'll have to create the habit to use the mouse on these cases too as you said, but an option to turn that on/off would be a good addition to the software tho. Thank you for your attention!

I would look at your stylus settings because I can single-click anywhere and value isn't reset to zero.

I made a video to show but this stupid software won't let me upload it, or wants me to link to YouTube!

Hi @Shangara Singh! Yeah, I took a look on my stylus propeties, specially the double-click timing, but it's everything in order. It's working as it should. Thank you for your time!

You are welcome. If you don't experience the problem with a mouse, then it has to be the stylus.

As I use a Wacom stylus and don't see the problem, it's either an OS bug (I tested in macOS Ventura), or your brand and driver version, or operator error.

I have the same problem. I usually click along a slider to find the look I'm going for but every other time i click it resets. It would be amazing with an option to disable this.

Why is this question marked as solved?
