drawing with touchscreen

Hi

I've recently bought a Dynabook laptop (portege x40) with touchscreen so that I can draw directly in photoshop.  It works for all other apps but not photoshop. I'm on Windows 11Pro and updated PS this morning so should be the latest version.  It feels like it should just work!
