Photoshop 23.1.1 Windows 10 - Edit > Transform > Distort & Perspective (text) no longer functions. As a professional industrial designer, I need to use this all the time to add logos, graphics, etc. to 3D objects. This is a fundamental tool that has been deactivated by Adobe. Adobe will say: Convert to Smart Object. Why this does NOT work:

  • You now have to look at the text in a separate file / out of context, so visual information is absent during the decision making process.
  • Later on, if you need to revise the text, the text handles are no longer associated with its orientation, so it is impossible to revise it accurately. This functionality was always available in Photoshop for at least the last 10 years.

Clearly, Adobe has lost touch with basic functional user requirements in their quest for world to become a monopoly. I should not have to explain why this is valuable to me.

Distort and Perspective transforms have never been enabled for text layers.

You can do trasforms/warps etc if you convert to a shape: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/manipulating-type-in-photoshop-2021/m...
