Hello, is it possible to edit the selection of a pattern fill that I've made? Sometimes when I create a fill layer (Layer -> New Fill Layer -> Pattern) from a selected area I would like to change the selected area where I made the fill layer. Or do I have to delete the pattern fill, and recreate from scratch?

A couple of ways i can think of:

1. Use the Brush Tool to add or subtract from the selection by painting on the layer mask with White to

add to the selection or Black to subtract from the selection.

2. Use one of the selection tools like the Rectangular Marquee Tool or Lasso Tool, by defining the area of

additional selection on the layer mask then using Edit>Fill>Contents>White.

Hey Jeff, thanks a lot that was very helpful! šŸ™‚ I was looking on the web but couldn't find a solution, however these tips work perfect, didn't know the pattern/fill areas were defined by the black and white areas on the layer mask (another way I've found by trying your tips is to select an area and then use brush inside the selection)
